Creators: Kreider, Kristen and O'Leary, James
Abstract or Description:

A two day performance on the edge of the Bonneville Salt Flats, performed as part of a residency with Bartlett Unit 16 and The Center for Land Use Interpretation. An array of spirals are constructed in the salty surface of earth using implements appropriated from the Hangar used to shelter the ‘Enola Gay’ on the night before the atomic bombs were dropped on Japan in 1945. The performance is recorded from two separate vantage points – one from the drawing implement, which scans the Nevada horizon as the implement rotates. The other vantage point is fixed, with an elevated view of proceedings from a disused Conning tower.
