|Abstract or Description:
Premier showing of Communion (2010) and remounted slide tape First Memory (1980)
The show was curated by Peter Kardia who is widely recognised for his work as a radical and pioneering teacher at both St. Martin's School of Art and at the Royal College of Art during the l960's and 1970'2. All of the artists in this exhibition are former students and each has contributed work for this show in celebration of Peter Kardia's teaching career.
Each artist is contributing two pieces of work, one from the earliest period of their career and one contemporary piece. The show which includes sculpture, painting, film and performance, bridging up to 30 years, provides a crucial assessment of contemporary British art and gives a unique insight into the development of each artist's work.
