Abstract or Description

Original research into the relationship of the famous US radio playwright and programme producer Norman Corwin and the BBC. The chapter analyses his tim in Britain during the Second World War when he wrote and produced/directed features and plays broadcast by British and US radio. The chapter also explores Corwin's critical reception in Britain and how the attitude of BBC editors and commissioning changed in the post war period.
