Abstract or Description

This is a conversation about Gormley's sculpture generally, and specifically about an exhibition in Hong Kong at White Cube and a public project entitled 'Event Horizon'. The conversation links the two works through the notion of sculpture as a way of investigating both architectural and public space. It offers the reader the opportunity to read a text in which the artist articulates his practice in response to a series of questions that attempt to open out a series of tropes central to the work, including the body as a form and the body as a space, as well as the way bodies animate both architectural and social spaces.
