Abstract or Description

A design prototype of an audio poster presentation as a way of disseminating the audio-based work of my own research to an audience of fellow PhD design researchers. The item comprised of an a3 foam-board backed poster showing an image of an MP3 player. Fixed to the poster over the representation of the MP3 player is an actual MP3 player reloaded with a sound file containing a recording of my voice describing my research. The viewers are offered no instruction of how to use the item except through the familiarity and unusual placement of the object. For the digital-only version a QR code is visible on the poster, where the player would be fixed, which may be scanned with a mobile phone to download and listen to the same audio file.
