Abstract or Description

David Mabb is an artist who works with appropriated imagery to rethink the political implications of different aesthetic forms in modern art and design history. Recent work has focused on the designs of William Morris. This talk introduces works made in response to a visit to HMS Courageous, a decommissioned nuclear powered submarine furnished with William Morris fabrics.
