Reflections

From DonJuan Wiki

1. I have some reflection on the session of 12 february 2005. I find it very interesting observing everybody impersonating don juan, and no one followed the concept of having a monologue as an avatar. Not that someone should, i know that anna didnt say nothing on purpose. I think we should try this exercise again with someone who volunteers and the others question him or her. That is why i wrote impersonated because no one seemed to have really believed he was don juan for us. It is also true and that is why i think these exercises are for is to create don juan, to decide who he is and what he represents today. Is he a myth, is he a fictious character or an instinct in man? I loved the beginning, some great poetry went on, no doubt about that, especially, what i love is in you. thumbs up, tibor.

2. Another thing that came to my mind. What was dj childhood like? How did he develop his simptoms? Why does he have to satisfy or think that he can, every woman he meets. I dont think he wants to posses them or own them. What does he want? Another interesting thing is that the don juan is a character created by literature or precisely , inspired of course by life itself, but, Casanova on the other hand was actually alive. An exelent book which discusses Casanovas simptoms is by Alice Miller, the drama of being a child or something like that. There is also fellinis Casanova. And supposedly there exists a Lexicon of Don Juan by Pierre Brunel.

Marusa: Well, I'm sorry, it's a bussy time. I read Tibors words, had some things to add but was just to "spread" to answer properly over last days. Briefly: The poetry was rather disturbing for me and it seemed arranged, pre-prepaired... I didn't feel everybody wasn't really DJ, some thing were spontaneous and actor doesn't need to be so despreatelly analytical. Sometimes it is a game. schould be, where is the plesure than? No volonteers was odd, but obviously nobody was in pusher mood. 2. childhood smells of psychoanalitic hmmm litter. Not really my taste. Sorry, Tibor. Or others. My next thought was- what is going to happen with all the materials? Are they going to be formed by director&writer team of our (mean preformers) matter too? Reading is good, writting too (although more work), but so many imagination waves react often on the very energy level. where brain starts to be anoying by trying to be in command all the time... i think, I'm touching the matter of work codex, that we have to develope and agree on. that is the reason that I express it so directly. No offence, I hope, let's have straith transfer.

1. well ... I am not sure if the childhood of a human being doesnt represent the core of every conciousness. But let the director deside on this one. Maybe we should keep the reflections anonymous too. Vaja con dios.

I would like to introduce a thought which has been occupying my mind for some time. Sexuality, the art of seduction , the human behaviour when aroused or repelled had been examined ad ifinitum by philosophers psychologists and popular pundits, since the creation of men. The Greek myths are full of angry gods who mated with mortals as well as each other. But the question which interests me is sexual jealousy , is it cultural ,is it innate can it be changed or conditioned? According to the Greek myth, the goddess Hera wife of Zeus hounded the children born of her husband's illicit amours. She plotted to kill Dionysus ,son of Zeus by the mortal woman Semele, and eventually made him insane. Many novels in our own time have been written on the subject of betrayal and sexual jealousy a subject with which we seem to be obsessed.

Do women in a harem really accept their status-quo or are they repressed and made to accept their conditions.

I wonder if this subject is worth pursuing as an adjunct to Don Juan and if anyone else has any related ideas they would like to air ? Ruth
