Abstract or Description

Black Atlantis is a publication, multi-part experimental lecture performance, and artwork. It looks at possible afterlives of the Black Atlantic: in contemporary Mediterranean migration, through Afrofuturistic dancefloors and soundsystems, and in outer space.

Black Atlantis has been performed at ICA London, Edinburgh College of Art, The Showroom, London, Goldsmiths MFA Lecture Series, Club Transmediale Berlin, Raw Material Company, Dakar, Royal Academy, Oxford Programme for the Future of Cities, Oxford, no.w.here, Camden Arts Centre, Konsthall C Stockholm, Dutch Art Institute, Arnhem,Keynote Society for Artistic Research University of Plymouth, The Atlantic Project, Akademie Schloss Solitude Stuttgart, The Slade School of Art, Delfina Foundation.

Black Atlantis has been exhibited at 13 Dakar Biennale, Showroom London, Konsthall C Stockholm, Nanaimo Art Gallery Nanaimo.
