Abstract or Description

In April 2019 I took on the role of a Trustee for the Association for Art History with a particular concern for outreach, widening participation and advocacy where the study and enjoyment of art, art history and visual culture are concerned. My involvement builds on a previous collaboration with AAH which led to the publication of an AAH booklet - a resource for young people and for art teachers - entitled 'How to Find Great Galleries and Exhibitions (and what to do when you get there)'. A second booklet, 'How art can upgrade your thought patterns', which draws on my academic phenomenological reseach and publications but makes the material accessible to wider audiences, is currently in preparation. Associated with my work for AAH, and these publications and their contents, is a new collaborative research project working with teachers and pupils at Evelyn Grace Academy in Brixton, London.
