Abstract or Description

This chapter argues that there is a commonality between Gilles Deleuze's theories of cinema and mystical experience. Both mysticism and contemporary cinema involve a disruption of dominant organisations of signs that this chapter explores using the concept of a crystalline regime of signs that Deleuze adapts from Bergson's work on mysticism.
