Abstract or Description

A 3000-word essay commissioned by the Irish Museum of Modern Art, for a reader published on the occasion of the museum’s 30-year anniversary marked by the associated exhibition The Narrow Gate of the Here and Now. The essay appraised works in the collection and exhibition, provided context of the history of Irish national art museum and situated its place within global exhibition practice and contemporary art discourse.
