Abstract or Description:

Taking as a starting point James Joyce’s performative use of language, the collaborative performance piece released ideas relating to the exhibition, I dialogue, Kinch at Belmacz Gallery. Through sound, script, and minimal gesture, this performed ‘guided medi-ation’ riffed off the commercialisation of affect and practices of surveillance innate to modern forms of ‘escape’ – be these fantastical or holistic – to explore notions of mediated (dis)connection. Part of the three day programme (Friday 9 to Sunday 11 July 2021) of the inaugural Performance Exchange, London in 2021.
