Abstract or Description

The content of the special issue to commemorate 5 years since the death of Darcus Howe mirrors that of the original RACE TODAY published by the Race Today Collective (1973-88). It features comments from leading black political and cultural figures, a discussion on policing and the black community resistance in the UK, probing interviews with members of UK BLM, artist Sonia Boyce, MP Diane Abbott, commentary on political blackness by Rahila Gupta Kehinde Andrews, original poetry, photography, exhibitions and features a wide range of articles on international perspectives.
