Abstract or Description

Archival scholar Nydia A. Swaby PhD moderated this conversation with artist researchers Barby Asante, Ra Malika Imhotep and Nathalie Anguezomo Mba Bikoro. Together they explore their practices of re-claiming memory and archival disruption towards new definitions of archiving that attend to Black feminisms, issues of diaspora, colonial legacies, black joy and pleasure.

This conversation was presented as part of the Itinerant Imaginaries seminar series, led by Creating Interference in association with CREAM (Centre for Research and Education in Arts and Media), University of Westminster. Supported by the British Art Network.
