Abstract or Description

Published during British artist Marion Coutts' exhibition at Yorkshire Sculpture Park in September and October 2000, this book is a compelling exploration of her broad, brave style that encompasses sculpture, film and photography. Colour photographs of her work, each partnered by essential background information, are accompanied by an essay, in which Tom Lubbock argues that the dominant themes in Coutts' work are air, the juxtaposition of the indoor and the outdoor and communal existence and collective activity.
