Abstract or Description

The Index is a compilation of information, press cuttings, catalogues, notes,
photos and slides of Women of Colour Artists. The collection has a strong
UK-based emphasis with the emergence of a third and fourth generation of
Black British artists. The Black Women’s Arists Index defines Black, not
in a Pan African sense, but as in non-white and non-European perspectives,
an inclusive, political definition.
