Abstract or Description

This chapter looks at books published in the field of visual culture in 2011. The works reviewed locate key strands in the development of visual cultures as it focuses on relations of power within the decolonial experience, identify the ways in which new technologies within the natural and computer sciences inform the use and construction of images, and address concepts fundamental to the identity of visual cultures as a field.
