Abstract or Description

The aim of the volume is to generate an appraisal and appreciative evaluation of John Atherton's work, coming from a wide range of contributors who knew the man and his work well.

As well as a critical appreciation of his prodigious output over several disciplinary fields and across many definitive decades in the life of this nation, the volume will seek to shed light on John Robert Atherton the man.

It will also begin the important task of identifying key themes and motifs that emerge for future generations of public and practical theologians to research and debate arising from John Atherton's legacy of work.
