Abstract or Description: | Group show at Tate Modern Including the work Strip 1999-2000 a set of 54 c type prints on aluminium approximately 2 x 4 metres when installed. The uploaded images include some details of the work and there is a shot of the installation in Simons Bakers video description on the exhibition website. extract below of Simon Bakers description of the exhibition Photography has been used to capture performances since its invention – from the stars of the Victorian stage to the art happenings of the 1960s, right up to today’s trend for selfies. This exhibition explores the relationship between the two forms, looking at how performance artists use photography and how photography is in itself a performance. |
