Abstract or Description

'AA Bronson: Revolutionary Asshole', is a 2,000 word essay drawing out connections between Bronson's solo work and his earlier practice as part of General Idea. This is in the first major monograph on the artist's solo practice. The essay draws out the connections between his critical and communitarian impulses, and the overlap between irony and sincerity, particularly around the impossible work of mourning those who have died in the AIDS pandemic.
