Abstract or Description

An opinion article, on why ACT UP London were wrong to deface a poster by the late AIDS activist and artist David McDairmid. I draw upon key thinkers in queer theory, such as Douglas Crimp, alongside independent research conducted with ACT UP, New York, and ACT UP, Paris activists, who confirm that such actions were never part of the history of the group.
