In this post, Michael Stanley-Baker and Ronit Yoeli-Tlalim introduce a special issue of the journal Asian Medicine. They describe several uniquely Asian medical responses to COVID-19 and other historical epidemics in a number of Asian regions. This special issue provides some epistemological breathing to reflect on the potential usefulness of Asian medical traditions in the current pandemic and beyond.
