Additional Information:

Magill’s paintings are epic, enigmatic and evocative and might be interestingly associated with many genres of painterly film, from the ‘photogenié’ of French Impressionism, to the foreboding monochromes of Hollywood Noire, to the surface crackle and flicker of experimental film, but something of her predisposition towards celestial journeymen, dark ambiance and sinister spaces resonate with Soviet Science Fiction.
