Digital video work based on an orginal performance, commissioned by Science Gallery London for their exhibition Genders: Shaping and Breaking the Binary (2020). It documents a translation (by myself and three drag kings) of American sociologist Susan Leigh Star’s (1954-2010) contribution to a feminist understanding of science and technology. The work reflects Star's critique of the way in which mainstream science and technology used white, middle-aged men as the standard for all populations. Associated new performance was cancelled due to Covid.
