No full text availableAbstract or Description
MODUS provides a platform to connect and celebrate diverse and radical ways of 'doing' fashion. The central thread is a glossary of verbs - a growing lexicon of habits, methods, techniques, repetitions and actions - that together, begin to sketch out a shared language for expanded fashion practice. The project aims to build an international network that represents and supports this community of expanded fashion practitioners.
The website allows practitioners from around the world to connect their practice to the MODUS glossary. Each contribution then appears alongside the work of other practitioners who have chosen the same 'mode/verb' as being central to their practice.
This online network aims to connect those working in the expanded field of fashion, challenging dominant and commercial modes of production and presentation and opening up opportunities for collaboration and exchange.
