The Gallery Guide to accompany the first major retrospective of the Althea McNish, the first Caribbean designer to gain international recognition for her textile design.
The gallery guide accompanies the exhibition that was held at the William Morris Gallery from 2nd April -11th Sept 2022.
Althea McNish: Colour is Mine is the first retrospective to celebrate and showcase the extraordinary career of the pioneering Trinidadian designer Althea McNish (1924–2020).
Her work in the field of textiles and interior design is remarkable, both for its artistic intention as well as being both socially and culturally significant for British post-war design.
