Abstract or Description

In this lecture, Anna Colin shared research from her recently completed PhD which, in its study of historical and contemporary multi-public educational and cultural spaces in England and beyond, placed particular attention to alternative organisational models. She discussed their patterns, potentials, and pitfalls, and weighed up ideals versus reality, intent versus outcome. The nascent notion of institutional permaculture was also introduced and developed, and with it, the contradictions and tensions that may come with its application.
