Abstract or Description

Helena Reckitt talked to curators Birgit Bosold and Vera Hofmann about their work at Schwules Museum in Berlin, where they jointly curated the powerful yet controversially received Year of the Women* / Jahr der Frau curatorial programme in 2018, which foregrounded the work of (queer) feminist perspectives and positions of women*, lesbians, inter*, non-binary, trans* and agender people. The talk was introduced by Ulrike Boskamp, art historian, director of Arthur Boskamp-Stiftung, Hohenlockstedt. The speakers discussed, and sometimes disagreed on, questions of political, queer, and activist curatorial strategies and practice.
