Abstract or Description:

A funded research project through the Being Human Festival, funded by the Institute for Advanced Studies in collaboration with the British Academy and AHRC. This project disseminated humanities research on Dr Williamson's project on the Politics of Statues of Empire. The project included workshops, a round-table event, walking tours and films. Evidence of impact on participants at the events was captured through questionnaires and video interviews. Although the Being Human Festival is now complete for 2023, the project is ongoing with further grant applications in process.

Additional Information:

Although the Being Human Award only allows the principal organiser to be named on the award, whose research is being disseminated, in this case Dr Milly Williamson, had a collaborator on this project and it would not have been possible to complete without this collaboration. This was Dr Freddie Osborne whose CV contributed to the expertise on the grant application form and who ran the film workshops and filmed all of the events.
