Jelena Sofronijevic producer of Empire Lines Podcast interviews Barby Asante at the launch and performance of Declaration of Independence at Stratford Station on the 17th September 2023. Barby talks about the process of making this iteration of Declaration of Independence, how she worked with a group of Black and of colour women who work for Transport for London and London Underground, and how exploration of the photographic archives reveal the story of how post war migrants from former colonies have contributed to shaping the transport system of London.
