The group exhibition Aggregates emerged from a performance series shown in London in 2019. It breaks up what appears to be a unity and sets fusion processes in motion. She explores the transformative potential of the fluid matter that surrounds us and that carries countless stories from the past and future. Aggregates aims to re-articulate the constantly changing states and forms of individual and collective ways of life.

Aggregates takes the nature of water as its starting point and combines queer-feminist strategies and marginalized narratives with the pressing concerns of environmental ecology. The project aims to encourage rethinking power structures, gender identities, sexuality and postcolonial bodies in connection with climate change.

The exhibition assumes that bodies exist in different states, similar to fluid principles, and invites us to reflect on the flow of natural, social and cultural conditions. She explores the moments when bodies meet water and seeks to reimagine human and non-human physicalities, beyond the binary that portrays us as separate from our surroundings. The exhibition reflects and asks how bodies constantly merge and dissolve, but are still tangible in their togetherness. And: How do we behave as visitors who are bound to our individual positioning?

Today, more than ever, humanity is forced to renegotiate its relationship to itself and other forms of life. While bodies of water constantly fluctuate and change shape, people also change through a variety of physical and mental states. Aggregates focuses on intermediate states that are not recorded in the archives of humanity.

In addition to the spatial installations, live performances by Sarina Scheidegger and Jimena Croceri, Lena Maria Thüring and Rebecca Bellantoni will also be shown.
