Abstract or Description

Preparation and leading of a two-day, cross-disciplinary design workshop, which brought designers and social scientists into conversation to explore alternative conceptions of nations, borders, and migration—from bacteria at the scale of the human body to digital planetary infrastructures.

This involved designing a worksheet to help prompt and locate ideas. The worksheet maps the interconnected underpinnings of nations as we understand them today, spanning the roles of technology, territory, ideology, and dissent, and explores ways in which movement and space are co-constructed.

Hosted by The New School as part of the “Imaginative Mobilities” Sawyer Seminar.
