Abstract or Description

I wrote short stories daily on my commute; the 25 minute duration of the Windrush Line between Highbury & Islington and New Cross Gate where Goldsmiths is. I self published them using the photocopier at work and performed them aloud at two events. Made for Friendly Fires, a group show at Cubitt Invites, Cubitt Studios, London, curated by Alison Jones.

Pushing my brain to run with the smallest idea until a story was formed, I leaned into my neurodivergence as an extension of my practice based research into improvised, flow-state storytelling and flash-publishing. Making artwork on the way to work-work, with the train as my studio, felt like a delicious petty crime against the grind of the commute.
