Thomson & Craighead where invited to show Another Advertiser's Announcement at Two Plus Two Makes Four . This wasan ambitious project which set out to create a space for audiences to catch their breath and explore the mental health crisis. This featured work from leading artists, including Bill Viola, Pipilotti Rist, Gillian Wearing, Martin Creed, and the late American, DIY artist Daniel Johnston.
The work exhibited in Two Plus Two Makes Four was rooted in the lived experience of mental illness; spanning the sombre, the joyful/funny, and the raw and explores the politics of mental illness. Spanning across mediums with work on paper, neon, photography, interactive installation, and video.

A photographic print depicting a landscape taken in the Scottish Highlands is overlaid with a yellow slogan and mounted on dibond (180cm x 120cm). Another Advertiser's Announcement is a proposal for a an advertising billboard, which refers to a series of advertisements developed by JG Ballard between 1967 and 1971.
