Abstract or Description

This article aims to outline the significant transformations of disability-related research and its impact in Hong Kong since the 1980s. The development of disability studies has a significant shift and a diverse landscape from the medical model to the social model, and more recently to the rights-based model. The progression of research reflects broader changes in policy and advocacy of disability in Hong Kong.
