Abstract or Description

This special issue of the Studies in Material Thinking Journal focused largley on the work of Paul Carter and his recently published work Material thinking : the theory and practice of creative research, Carlton, Vic : Melbourne University Publishing. Although extending well beyond a simple exegesis of Carter's work all of the contributions took their initial influence from Carter's exploration of the role of material objects and practices in creative conceptualisation and ideation.
