Abstract or Description

This book aims to deliver an analysis and appreciation of the life and work of Avinash Chandra through a detailed consideration of the development of his art work, the themes and debates that informed his work as well as the dilemmas and choices that guided his life. In short this monograph will consider issues of postcolonialism; internationalism in Art; Englishness; the figure of the artist: abstraction and lyricism as well as a detailed description and analysis of his art work.
