Abstract or Description

This book features 2 film stills from Temenos (1997) and Communion (2010) as well as accompanying text by Pier Paolo Coro.

Little Constellation is a publication reflecting the research project of the same title, in which art and artists of a constellation of small states in Europe from Andorra, Cyprus, Iceland, Luxemburg, Liechtenstein, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, San Marino and other significant geocultural micro-area such as Canton Ticino, Ceuta, Gibraltar or Kalingrad create a network. Initiated by artist researchers Rita Canaresssa Pier Paolo Coro, this research project intersects with an exhibition project curated by Roberto Daolio and Alessandro Castigiloni.

This volume by Mousse publishing with original graphic design mingles images of the unique landscape and culture of states explored in the study. This project examines the potential for building a shared platform for artists, curators and institutions in these areas, within the artistic debate. The book - half interstellar map, half catalogue - collects the works on exhibit and the biographies of the 20 artists and groups involved, using texts, images and interviews.

This volume has toured and been represented by Mousse Publishing at all the major art book fairs in Europe 2010-11.
