Performance
Creators: O'Sullivan, Simon D. and Burrows, David
Abstract or Description:

As night falls, masked performers, surreal 3D ‘Mutoids’ and a 1000-year-long musical composition will transform the Horniman Museum and Gardens.

Ten interactive installations and activities created by staff and students at Goldsmiths will render the familiar strange and cast the museum in a new light.

From immersive VR and digital palm readings to enigmatic instructions in red envelopes, themes of decolonisation, ritual, and the dawn of the Anthropocene will be explored in specially commissioned responses to the Horniman’s collections.

Masked-Puja for Meme-Tech-Animals.
Plastique Fantastique and Benedict Drew summon the meme-animals and avatars of Zero City through songs, drone-music, electronic-sonic-fictions, mumming-performances and film-projections.
