Abstract or Description

Commissioned and refereed at the proposal stage, this book represents nine years of thinking that has culminated in an ethical reframing of the way design is understood and practised. Although primarily philosophical in its approach, it also offers practical suggestions and advocates the introduction of a more holistic, cross-disciplinary 'metadesign' profession. This represents a challenge to the intrinisically problem-oriented nature of design, offering a more positive, holistic and entrepreneurial discourse.
