This title is one of the 'Teaching with Gender' series based on collaborative research by partners in the European thematic network, ATHENA.The volume presents ten essays that explore from different angles the significance of the concept of interculturality and its practical application within learning communities concerned with diversity. Through teaching praxis across languages and disciplines, the authors examine Europe as colonial/ postcolonial fantasy, lived experience, topos, symbol, object of desire and so on in order to engage theory towards a new, transnational pedagogy.
