Abstract or Description

This article is based on interviews with the curators of two large feminist art exhibitions which opened the following year, in 2007: Constance Butler, curator of WACK! Art and the Feminist Revolution, at LA MOCA, Los Angeles, and Maura Reilly, co-curator with Linda Nochlin of Global Feminisms at the Brooklyn Museum, New York.

The article considers how these exhibitions aim to expand understandings and definitions of feminist art, and assesses the current status of curating feminism, and curating as feminists.
