Abstract or Description

In this workshop series starting July 2017 and ending in an exhibition of projects at the Digital Design Weekend in September 2017 as part of London Design Festival, Code Liberation taught 16 women to make games. Resulting in the exhibition of 13 new games, this workshop series was developed for creative people and assumed no prior knowledge in programming or game design.

Code Liberation catalyzes the creation of digital games and creative technologies by women, nonbinary, femme and girl-identifying people to diversify STEAM fields. Founded in 2013, we’ve reached around 2,500 women started a UK chapter in 2016.

These workshops are were open to women, nonbinary, femme, and girl-identifying people from all walks of life.
