Abstract or Description

Bridget Crone, in her chapter, ‘Image and the Appearance of the Image: Fear, Speed, Force’, examines the idea of “image” as marked by the speed of its dissemination, but not marked by representation or by its representative capacities, and also in relation to the terror alert system in the US, in which the image can be a tool for effective control.
