I play a role in advocating for art history and visual culture, partly through my involvement with the Association for Art History, of which I became a trustee in 2019. In that role, with fellow trustees, I am responsible for the organisation’s successful achievement of its objects, strategic aims, and risk- and financial management. I represent the interests and relevance of visual culture scholarship within the Association’s remit, am involved in various sub-committees, and over the years have contributed to aspects of the Association's outreach to young people and to the general public.

On 6-8 April 2022, the Association for Art History's Annual Conference is scheduled to take place at Goldsmiths.
