Talk and Workshop entitled "Field recordings an the Voice" at the International Field Recording Meeting Mexico, online from 10am-3pm CDMX time. Details are here https://eigc.info

In this workshop Iris Garrelfs explores the relationship between field recordings and the voice. The session is devided into 3 parts: In the first section, Iris will explore the conceptual background and technological considerations, touching on her own recent practice, especially around the experience of eaves dropping or sonic voyeurism. In the 2nd part, participants will explore and record their own environment and the conversations they contain - be that of an animal or human nature. In the 3rd part participants will come together to share their experiences and the recordings themselves.
